Start the Blender Server Bridge

The Blender server bridge listens for the Android client on your local network. Start it from the Camera Controller sidebar before connecting the phone.

Start a Camera Session

  1. Open the Camera Controller tab in the 3D Viewport sidebar.
  2. Choose Camera control mode.
  3. Make sure the scene has an active camera.
  4. Set the UDP port if you need a value other than the default 5005.
  5. Click Start Server.

When the server is online, the add-on shows its IP address, port, QR code, client status, and packets-per-second value. Scan the QR code from the app whenever possible; it avoids typing the wrong endpoint.

Start an Object Session

Select Object mode before starting the server. Choose the controlled object and a reference camera first. Mode selection is disabled while the server is running. The detailed workflow is in Object Control Mode.

Restarting the Server

Stop and start the server again after changing networks, after a Blender interruption, or when the app cannot connect. A server restart is the first step in Connection Troubleshooting.

Next Step

Use Connect the Android App to scan the QR code or enter the IP address and port manually.
